The trick to getting rid of certain headaches is to find your pressure points. The gall bladder channel is a good one and those points run along side the ribs a bit below the sternum. Find the tension spots and stay on them til they dissipate or for only 1 to 2 mins. You can find pressure points on the scalp and neck, along the ears and apply the same techniques here, but DO NOT apply pressure underneath the ears where you feel a choking sensation. You may relax the eyes while doing this to promote more circulation in the muscles behind the eyes and relieve possible tension from scar tissue for those who've suffered head trauma. Energy Vampires are pretty annoying, but not only are they annoying, they can de-motivate you, stagnant your mind, and they can steal your energy. Most of the time, they can do this on accident. So to protect yourself and learn how to deal, here are 4 ways to free yourself from them. 1) Meditation: Letting your eyes and mind relax is a great and simple way to uncloud your thoughts and to think clearly again, especially after stagnating ordeals. 2) Moving: The internal way to "dust yourself off" is cardio, yoga, eating well, walking in your favorite park or finding a great new one. This one's great for break ups and to get yourself re-focused again. 3) Envisioning: This imagery practice helps you to move forward. Imagining peace, joy, love, a happy and healthy you inspires you to move towards that reality. Not only imagining them, but also BELIEVING in them. 4) Help: Too much draining energy can leave you feeling helpless and hopeless, but remember just ask the right people for help and surround yourself with your tribe to help invigorate you and find your way again. Focus on the solutions while accepting the issues. In Health, Cortney Panacea: Feng Shui & Medical Massage Owner What happens when the problems are too much? We become clouded, weakened, hardened, and overwhelmed. So how can we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel? First, give yourself some solitude in a quiet, peaceful, and healing place. Find inner peace with positive beliefs, cardio, and healthy eats. Meditate, relax your eyes and rest your mind. Rebalance your pH levels and brain chemistry. So when the issues are too big; look inside, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST, show yourself some compassion, make your inner environment healthy first so you can take care of your outer environment. "Even the hardest puzzles have solutions." In Health, Cortney Meditation can take shape in all forms, and how effective your peace of mind is, is the environment that you're in. Here are ways to create a calm and inviting atmosphere for your Peace Place. 1. Pick a space that is away from hectic areas in your home. Is it your closet? A designated room? Or even a bathroom? Let's start there. 2) Add every element that will uplift you to reconnecting to your Oneness. Water: Salt or balanced pH water. Sea salt water kept in a beautifully decorated bowl or balanced pH water in a water fountain is good here. Earth: Crystals, purified sand, and or pebbles and rocks Wood: Plants that will be able to thrive in your peaceful place. [However, if you have a black thumb, air plants would be perfect here.] Air: Make sure to purify the air here. You can use a diffuser to do this along with air cleansing essential oils, a spray bottle full of purified water and your choice of essential oils. And simply keep this area dust-free with updating your air filters, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and dusting. Fire: You may use smudging sticks or natural incense to uplift the stagnation in the air. Beeswax or soy wax candles are good here too. 3) Now that you have your Meditation Space, it's time to meditate. How I do this is I simply sit or lie as comfortably as I can [corpse pose is perfect for this] then I relax my eyes. That's it. Unbelieveable, right? After doing this, about 5 minutes or less, I feel more rejuvenated, less moody, more clear headed, and ready to be positively productive in my day. Give it a try and tell us what you think!
