Here in America, it's been approximately 50 years since The Civil Rights Act had passed with thousands of supporters and allies who bravely fought for our rights and some paying the ultimate sacrifice. Throughout our land, America's Baby Boomers have helped protect our race, national origin, gender, and religious beliefs from being barred from all benefits of proper employment and dignity. Only two generations ago the rest of us, as the American people, did not have the same rights as the Caucasian race and Christian religion. Even today we see classism and racism still a factor in our society. Which could make us frighteningly wonder, how do stop it and keep it from happening again? Luckily, there's hope and fortunately racism, classism, and other forms of discrimination are on the wrong side of history. Here are 3 researched and proven ways to reconnect with others on a positive level regardless of a different race, religion, and social status:
1) Understand the Demographics & turn off the news: noun statistical data relating to the population and particular groups within it. Understanding the demographics means you understand the culture and you accept the facts of life. We live in a world, in fact, a nation where propaganda can consume our everyday lives. Get to know people, relax around them and you can know where they're at better. Your face and whatever it is that you believe in etc. etc. is your billboard. You can use this to create a positive imprint and memory in people's mind that your race, gender, religion, and lifestyles are good, bettering your cause in the world. All the solutions are there to transform the ways others see you. 2) Take a look at "The Lucifer Effect, Understanding How Good People Turn Bad." By Philip Zimbardo This book has personally given me insight as to precisely why & how bad people exist and how we can prevent and even transform it to our better and healthier selves. 3) Love Yourself, Accept Yourself In order for you to combat the hardships of life and perhaps the threatening negative stereotypes, you must cope & take of yourself. The after effects of this will have you feeling better, looking better, being more confident and being stronger than ever. Having proper care and strong connections in your local area is direly helpful. Find your tribe to create lasting effects of a Love Movement in your community.
